How To Revive Your Dried Eyeliner
When it comes to eyeliners, there are three different types of eyeliners one being liquids, gels and pencil eyeliners. If the product is tightened properly all three types of eyeliners can lose their touch and won’t apply the same again.
In the case of liquid eyeliners, the eyeliner itself could be coming to an end and that could cause the product to dry out slightly or it could simply be because of the product wasn’t closed properly after the last time it was used.
Liquid eyeliner: When your liquid eyeliner starts to get dry and crumbly the best way to revive it is by applying a few drops of Visine into your liquid eyeliner. Use a tooth pick to and mix the solution into the liquid liner container. Once you have done that then apply the product on with its normal brush and see if the product is giving a smoother line than before.

When it comes to gel eyeliners, they tend to go more hard in texture. This is a good indication that your gel liner has no moisture and has dried out. Just like the liquid liner it’s best to use eye drops to revive this eyeliner as well.
The best way to do this is by adding a few drops of eyedrops into the container in which the gel liner is sitting, then you will need to mix the eyedrops with a tooth-pick. This may seem like your destroying the liner but it would be adding moisture back into the liner. Once the texture seems it has a

How To Revive A Pencil Liner
When it comes to pencil liner it’s a bit more difficult to revive because the moisture in the product has completely dried out leaving the actual pencil liner shrunken.

The best way to revive this type of product is by adding heat to it. The type of heat that would be the safest is by using a blow dryer. By adding direct heat to a dried product such as your eyeliner or lipliner, it does warm up the product to a safe temperature that will help warm and soften the product.

When using the blow dryer run the heat setting for about 10 seconds on the actual dried product, by using this method you will find that lipliners and eyeliner usually work just as well as when you first purchased it. With this method, you would have to continuously reheat the product before every use.

How To Revive Your Lipliner
As mentioned, one method to revive your favorite lipliner would be by placing it under the blow dryer for a few seconds. The heat from the blow drier will soften the lip liner and allow it to apply creamy and soft as when you first purchased it.
Another method that worked well with me when it came to getting my lip liner to work is applying a lip balm or even petroleum jelly on my lips before using my lipliner.

The best way I found this worked was to really make sure that the lips were moisturized well with the lip balm. Once he lip balm had sunk into my lips I applied my lip liner on top and found that the color from the lip balm started to come on to my lips. Adding a lip balm under a dried lip liner hydrates the liner reviving the lip liner. When trying out this method keep in mind the lip liner takes a bit of time to revive and that the lip liner becomes buildable which I don’t mind because it means I can control how much of the lip liner I want on my lips.

The following is how to fix a broken lipstick:
Step 1: Take the broken lipstick bullet and place it on a spoon

Step 2: Light a candle under the spoon and melt the lipstick bullet

Step 3: Once the lipstick has become liquid drop the lipstick in the sample container

Step 4: Wait for the lipstick to become a solid.

Although the lipstick is no longer in a bullet form this method helps preserve the lipstick without having to throw out the entire product.
This method works well when the lipstick bullet is broken or half melted off due to extreme heat.
How To Revive A Dried Lipstick
Reviving a dried lipstick is very similar to reviving a broken lipstick, the only difference is your adding an ingredient to the lipstick. I personally found that matte lipsticks tend to dry up a lot faster than cream lipsticks, because the lipstick has lost its moisture, the best way to revive your dried lipstick is by adding a lip balm to it. Adding a lip balm will restore the moisture in the product. I found this method to be effective if you want to help maintain the same sort of matte finish. Sometimes adding other products can make your matte lipstick more into a glossy finish and change the actual formulation to the product.
The following are the steps I take to revive my dried lipsticks:

Step 1: take your dried lipstick place it on a spoon
Step 2: light a tea light candle under the spoon and wait for the lipstick to melt into a liquid
Step 3: take a lip balm and

Step 4: wait for the lipstick and lip balm to harden and turn into a solid (at this point the lipstick can be used with a lip brush to apply or your finger)

If you don’t mind the actual formulation of your lipstick changing, another alternative is using either petroleum jelly or coconut oil instead of lip balm to revive your lipstick.
Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that helps seal moisture into the lips leaving them soft and helps reduce inflammation. Adding Coconut oil to your lipstick can help revive the product by adding additional moisture. When using coconut oil to your dried lipstick you may find that it may change the formulation of the original formulation of your lipstick. The following is another method used to revive your lipstick with Coconut oil.
Step one: Place your dried lipstick on a clean spoon

Step two: Light a tea light candle under the spoon and wait for the lipstick to melt into a liquid and place into a small container
Step three: On a separate spoon melt ¼ spoon of Coconut oil and place it in the same small container as the melted lipstick

Step four: Mix the two products together and wait until the lipstick solidifies
Step five: Apply the lipstick with a lip brush or your finger.

I personally found that it’s easier to build layers with the mascara after its placed in hot water, because the product is not fully dry nor will it be fully wet. This is the mascara formulation at is best when it comes to building layers.
How To Revive Your Cream Foundation
When your cream foundation is dried out a good way to determine this is by looking at the size of the foundation. The size being a lot smaller, is a good indication that the foundation is drying out and that a lot of the moisture has evaporated.

If you own Colourpop Color Shock eyeshadows you know that the formulation is unique. It’s a cream to powder finish, the texture is like a sponge and it’s usually well pigmented. The trick with such formulations is to use very little oil based product as possible. Using a face oil to revive a cream based shadow can bring the life back to the eyeshadow because it adds hydration. It’s important to remember to use little amounts of oil. Back in the day I used to purchase a lot of eyeshadow shade sticks from MAC but found they would dry up and go hard. The one trick I found to revive the eyeshadow sticks was by warming up the product in my hand by rubbing the product back and forth, the heat from my body usually warms up the product. When this doesn’t seem to work, the best way to warm up the product is with a blow dryer.
The good thing about reviving cream eyeshadows with a blow dryer is that it helps maintain the original formulation of the product. When adding heat to your product
How to preserve your face masks
We all have our favorite face (clay) masks that we use on a weekly basis to help relax us and give our skin a beautiful natural glow. I have found over the years that when I leave my face masks in room temperatures they have a tendency of decaying and drying out faster.
