Beauty Blender Review

5.0 rating

There is no doubt that when it comes to the original Beauty Blender that it is defiantly a game-changer especially within the beauty industry. The beauty blender has replaced most of our foundation brushes. At first, when I heard about the Beauty Blender it didn’t seem like it was that important to me I thought it was all hype.  In fact, it took me a long time to actually go out there and justify buying the original Beauty Blender.

The biggest problem that I always did find was that every time I would use my makeup brushes I always found that it would leave a streak behind that makeup brushes usually do.  However, I did find a product that would work well with applying your makeup and don’t leave any streaks, a beauty blender would work so well and I highly recommend them.

The Original Beauty Blender

The beauty blender is pink in color and has multi-purpose use.  Because this beauty blender was the original one the very first blender that came to market it is washable and reusable and also recyclable.  You can use any kind of makeup with this blender aswell.  It would be ideal to use this beauty blender while it is wet but you can also use it while it’s dry.

The material used for this beauty blender is aqua activated so when it is wet it can expand up to twice its size.  It also becomes soft so you can create an even smooth blend.  The shape of the beauty blender ensures a streak-free application while it uses a little amount of product so you don’t waste a lot of your makeup product.  You can use this beauty blender with primers, foundations, powders and setting sprays and other complexion products.

How the beauty blender works are by having an open cell structure which ends up filling up with small amounts of water when it is wet.  This, in turn, gives the sponge the fullness so that when you use the makeup product on the sponge it sits on top of the sponge and doesn’t allow the makeup to be absorbed, which allows you to use less makeup, foundation primers, etc.

With the right care and cleaning the beauty blender can last up to 3 months.  The beauty blender itself uses water-soluble dyes that don’t have any harm for the environment and will maintain the integrity of their proprietary foam that’s is used.  You will notice some of the dye washing out the first time you use the beauty blender after that it will be fine.  After you have cleansed the product a number of times it will come as clear water.  Plus the dye itself will not transfer onto your face or clothing.

The Original Beauty Blender In Black

This is also known as a pro beauty blender in the shade of black.  It has unique curves that mimic our face contours giving you a flawless finish to your makeup.  The material used to create this blender is made up of foam with a soft texture for an airbrushed finish.

The beauty blender is ideal for darker-toned products that will be difficult to rinse from a lighter colored applicator.  If you want flawless results self-tanners can use this beauty blender if you’re wearing a long-wearer for makeup and you can use it with complexion products.

This blender doesn’t have any parabens, sulfates, and Phthalates in the blender which makes it really appealing and a solid and good product.

The beauty blender can grow to twice it’s the size and can absorb a little amount of product, so your favorite product can go over your complexion, and not all over your sponge.  When you make the blender wet the soft material ends up providing an even smooth blend and bounce.  The surfaces on the beauty blender will help with applications the rounder surface because of the large size it helps with a quicker application, and the finer tip of the beauty blender offers more precision.

When you do use this beauty blender it may release some dye with the first couple of washes, it’s similar to that of when you buy a new pair of jeans and the dye sometimes come out with the first few times of washing, once the water has been squeezed out of the blender the excess dye has gone as well.  The good thing is that the dye itself will not go onto your skin at all.

The Beaky Blender

This beauty blender is shaped like a teardrop and like other beauty blenders, it’s best used when it’s wet.

The beauty blender is made from a non-latex material, It gives a soft feeling and has a bouncy sponge which is easy to distinguish and gives a softer feeling.

The beaky blender gives a perfect makeup application because of the surface of the beauty blender, which helps to avoid the waste of using too much makeup products.  The beaky blender helps well with sheering out thicker formulations of foundations.  The blender also helps with making your skin look more glowing and healthy-looking by thinning out the foundation formulation.

You can use all types of makeup products from foundation to BB creams, different powder foundations, concealers and isolations, and liquid, etc.

You can use this beauty blender in two different ways, dry use or wet use.  If you’re going to use it while it’s dry then you can use powder products foundation and loose powders to get a smooth finish and streak-free.  Just simply apply the product evenly on the sponge surface and tap to create a natural makeup look.

If you choose to use it while it’s wet, this would work well with milky or creamy products such as BB creams, lotions, and concealers.  Make sure that you drain the water until there are no more drops coming out of the sponge, gently move to reduce unnecessary waste.

The best way to use this product is by using the pointy side to get into the hard-to-reach places, like around your eyes, mouth, and nose.  The base of the beauty blender has a rounder effect which is used for applying your foundation and blush on the larger areas of your face, such as your forehead cheeks and chin.

Beauty Blender Minis

These beauty blenders are smaller because they are tended to be used to precisely apply the product in certain areas on your face.  They are mainly used for concealing, contouring, highlighting and color-correcting.

The mini beauty blender has been designed from the original beauty blender but it made it one-quarter of its original size, this is to help get in those areas that the larger beauty blenders cannot reach.  Because of the sheer size of the mini beauty blender, you can maneuver it into the smaller areas such as under your eye, the inner of your eye corners, the sides of your nose and any acne spots.  With this mini beauty blender, it makes it easier to give more professional-style contouring, highlighting, and concealing, it would make a complete novice look professional.

The beauty blender is egged shaped, the tip of it has the top pointed part cut and flat so that you can contour the sides of the face along the bridge of the nose.  The flat end also is known for baking under the eyes.  The bottom part of this sponge is known to help stipple the foundation on the larger surfaces of the face.  This beauty blender blends and softens the edges and lines.

The Elf Blending Sponge

The Silicon Sponge

This silicone sponge is only good to use with liquid foundations, and stippling and blending.  Unlike other sponges, it doesn’t absorb as much product.

The way to use this is by putting on some foundation on the silicon sponge and gently patting the foundation into the face.

This product is easy to clean after every use so you don’t have to worry about bacteria build-up. It has two sides to it and it isn’t like most beauty blenders as it is made of silicon.  The unique oval shape makes it easy to get under the eyes.
